Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga focuses on passive postures that target the connective tissues in the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Poses are held for anywhere between two and five minutes. The aim is to increase flexibility and encourage a feeling of release and letting go.

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced yoga with long holds that allow time to tune in and observe the breath creating a powerful mind-body connection.

Yin offers a wealth of benefits that may help you to alleviate pain and tension, relieve stress and anxiety, and improve your overall well-being. The practice of holding a pose for an extended period teaches you to sit with and observe emotions, thoughts, or physical sensations as they arise.

It is complementary to all the more common physical (Yang) styles of yoga as well as for anyone with a very active lifestyle. Surprisingly, the intensity in this style comes from the lack of movement – and the stillness and mind focus.

Is Yin Yoga suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Yin is suitable for complete beginners, but at the same time is great for sports people and experienced Yogis who need to stretch and relax muscles.
