Hatha Yoga
Hatha is the branch of yoga that comes to mind when you think of yoga in general terms and involves breath, body, and mind.
Hatha is practised at a slower pace, with a focus on breath, controlled movements, and stretching. The regular practice of Hatha enhances strength, flexibility, and balance and may offer some light to moderate cardiovascular exercise as well, depending on the style of the class set by the teacher. Other benefits may be gained from incorporating breath work (pranayama) and meditation into the class.
Classes are 70 minutes of breathing, yoga poses, and some meditation. We offer heated and unheated classes, so please refer to the calendar.
Is Hatha suitable for beginners?
Absolutely, yes! Hatha and Gentle Hatha (for absolute beginners) is our recommended starting point for your Yogic Journey as it introduces you to the fundamentals of the Asanas (postures) and Pranayama (breathing).
At the same time it is also great for experienced Yogis as it allows them to slow down and focus on the core principles of the practice.
