Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Power Flow yoga is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements. This type of yoga is a vigorous and revitalizing form of physical fitness.

It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and physical and mental stamina in one session. Power Flow incorporates regular sequences that become familiar to students but incorporates variations to modify, intensify, or challenge the body by altering the pace or duration of poses and the frequency that they are repeated.

One of the fundamental differences between other styles of yoga and Power Flow is the speed of practice. Power Flow is quicker than regular yoga. The vigorous, flowing style of this yoga has a cardiovascular benefit where you burn calories and tone and stretch muscles.

If you decide to try a Power Flow class, prepare to work hard and to work up a sweat. Classes will vary widely from teacher to teacher, but they usually include far more intense flowing yoga poses and less chanting and meditation.
